Coaching that doesn’t wait for the appointment
ADHD rarely waits until your next coaching session to become inconvenient.
You can understand exactly what you want to do on Monday, become completely stuck on Tuesday, spend Wednesday avoiding it, and by Friday struggle to remember why it felt so difficult in the first place.
Asynchronous coaching gives you access to coaching while life is actually happening.
Rather than relying entirely on scheduled appointments, we work through messages. You can get in touch when you’re stuck, overwhelmed, procrastinating, going round in circles, trying to make a decision, or simply need somewhere to get the contents of your brain out of your head.
You can also message when something has gone brilliantly. Coaching isn't only about problems.
What does asynchronous coaching look like?

There’s no expectation that every message needs to be beautifully organised or even particularly coherent.
You might send:
-
a question or something you’re struggling with
-
a brain dump when everything feels tangled
-
an update on something we’ve previously discussed
-
a decision you’re going round in circles about
-
something you’ve been avoiding and can’t quite understand why
-
an idea you want to explore
-
a success you want to recognise before your brain immediately moves onto the next thing
I’ll help you slow things down, understand what might be happening, explore different ways forward and identify practical next steps.
Sometimes that might mean a thoughtful coaching conversation over several messages. Sometimes you might just need the right question at the right moment.
This isn’t accountability with a clipboard
’m not here to check whether you’ve been “good”, chase you for homework or make you feel guilty because you didn’t do the thing you said you were going to do.
If something didn’t happen, that’s information.
We can be curious about what got in the way: Was the task unclear? Too big? Too boring? Was there anxiety underneath it? Did something else become more urgent? Did your brain simply refuse to cooperate that day?
Understanding the barrier is usually much more useful than adding another layer of guilt.
Flexible doesn’t mean available 24/7
Asynchronous coaching gives you much more flexibility about when you communicate, but it isn’t an instant messaging or emergency service.
You can send messages when something is happening for you without worrying about whether I’m available at that exact moment. I’ll respond within the agreed coaching boundaries and response times.
We’ll make those expectations clear from the beginning so you know how the service works and what you can expect from me.
Asynchronous coaching is not crisis support, therapy or medical care. If you need urgent mental-health or medical support, you should use the appropriate professional or emergency service.
Is asynchronous coaching right for me?
It might suit you particularly well if scheduled appointments create another thing to remember, you find it easier to write than talk, your thoughts disappear before your next session, or you value having time to process a question before responding.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.
And, as with all ADHDAndy coaching, you don’t need an ADHD diagnosis to work with me.
